Bajnokok szavai

Ahogy korábban írtuk, a 2022. évi Vegyes-páros Országos Bajnokságot a Szekeres Ildikó és Nagy György páros nyerte immár 6. alkalommal. A következőkben Ildikó, valamint edzőik, Dencső Blanka és Shane Tusup nyilatkozatai olvashatóak:

Szekeres Ildikó:
“Végig jól játszottunk, a végén kezdtünk csak picit izgulni, de szerintem ez teljesen normális, hiszen az országos bajnoki cím, és a világbajnokságon való részvétel volt a tét. Országos bajnokságot nyerni mindig nagy öröm, ez a 32. bajnoki aranyérmem. Az hogy veretlenül mentünk végig, nem azt jelenti, hogy könnyűek voltak a meccsek, olykor nagyon szoros és magas színvonalú meccseket játszottunk. Nagyon nagy segítség volt az edzői háttér, a segítőink nélkül ez nem jöhetett volna létre.”

Shane Tusup:
“Personally, i think the Nationals was a huge success for everyone involved. Throughout the competition we could see that every match up was challenging and closely contested. This showed that we have a solid group of competitors in the sport and competition always brings the best out of everyone. Additionally, it also showed that the younger generation was performing at a senior level, which is always a very good sign for the future of the sport.

Obviously for our my team, it was an even more successful tournament as we were able to fight our way to the top. It was amazing to be apart of a team like this, to learn and experience everything next to some of the worlds most talents curlers. It was breathtaking to watch them handle every scenario possible as they worked their way to a perfect 11-0 record. It was also an honor to have their trust as a team member during those vital moments.

I think as a team,  we have meshed very well and grown drastically over the short time we have been together. I think this is a great sign for the future and especially exciting for the upcoming world championships. We will work to continue to fine tune some of the details of our game as we approach the championships, and i think if we approach the tournament with the same attitude and mental game plan, then we have just a good chance of coming home victorious as anyone else.”

Dencső Blanka:
“A páros nagyon sokat dolgozott, hogy folyamatosan magas színvonalon tartsák a játékukat. Az elvesztett hazai olimpiai kvalifikáció után kellett egy rövid szünet, azonban mindig felállnak és mennek, küzdenek tovább, hiszen a célunk nem változott. Az országos bajnokságon összehangban, teljes koncentrációval játszottak, nagyon büszkék vagyunk a sportolóinkra. Az kifejezetten öröm, hogy ez a szakág Magyarországon folyamatosan biztosítja a top játékosokat és nagy jövő van a juniorokban is, hiszen ez is biztosítéka annak, hogy itthon is megfelelően tudjunk készülni, erős versenyhelyzetek legyenek. Megyünk tovább, irány a világbajnokság. “
